K.M. Rocheleau writes books and comics for teens and adults. She grew up on the coast of Maine, where she explored secret paths through rocky shores and devoured more than her fair share of strange folklore and off-the-boat lobster.  Much to her family's chagrin, she fled a pre-med program at UC Berkeley to earn a double degree from New York University.  Whether it was working as a grunt at Condé Nast, burning the midnight oil on film and television sets or jumping into the fire of broadcast news and big ad agencies, she has always preferred the creative circus —the incredible magic of working with others to bring stories to life.  When a health crisis threatened her plan A,  she started writing  in notebooks at doctor's appointments as a healing outlet. Only to discover that writing her own stories was her plan A all along.  Passionate about helping others heal through the power of creativity, K.M. Rocheleau is a certified Gateless methodology writing teacher and developmental editor.  She loves things that are wild and free, especially stubborn hope. When she’s not writing, you'll find her surfing, searching for the perfect bakery and bookstore combo, and enjoying Maine magic with her husband and spunky pup.
